Legendary icon Betty White’s impact is being felt in Vegreville. White, who passed away on December 31, was an animal welfare activist, and now an online movement to donate to animal shelters in her memory is being planned in Vegreville.
Dr. Dan Fisher with Fisher Chiropractic says that they will be honouring Betty’s memory on Monday as part of the #BettyWhiteChallenge.
The Town of Vegreville is also promoting the #BettyWhiteChallenge. From now until Monday, people can donate wet cat food and cat litter to the Prairie Tails Animal Rescue Society by dropping items off at Co-Op, No Frills, and Wal Mart. Monetary donations can be made at the Town Office or Co-Op.
A pioneer of early television, with a career spanning over eight decades, White was noted for her vast work in the entertainment industry and being one of the first women to work both in front of and behind the camera.
