Swingin' the Sticks

There’s good news for local area golfers ...

The Vegreville Kinsmen Golf Course is open for business … even if with a few changes to ensure it’s keeping up with COVID-19 mitigation measures.

Clubhouse Manager Mitchell Wolfe talks about those changes in operation.

He says the golf course is just doing its best to ensure golfers can still enjoy the game without needing to worry about contracting the virus.

Wolfe adds the Vegreville Kinsmen Golf Course has spread out tee times by 15-minute intervals and says golfers must call the clubhouse and talk with someone to book a tee time, noting leaving a voicemail or messaging online will not suffice.

Last Friday, the Government of Alberta gave golf courses the green light to open for the season, with virus mitigation measures in place, as part of the province’s re-launch strategy.
