Vegreville’s Beckett Langkow has taken a ‘major’ step in his young hockey career ...
Earlier this week, the 2003-born goaltender signed a standard player agreement with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League.
Langkow says he’s looking forward to the opportunity but adds the hard work is far from finished.
He says he’s had plenty of help at home getting to this point, noting he's leaned on his father Scott Langkow, who played goal in the NHL and pro-ranks in Europe.
Langkow finished an abbreviated season last year for the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers of the A.M.H.L. with a 1.93 Goals Against Average and a .934% Save Percentage in 20 games played.
