While the province reported 80 new cases of the virus of Tuesday, the gain was offset by 112 recoveries leaving 1,397 ‘active’ cases in Alberta, down from 1,430 on Monday.
The number of ‘active’ cases around the region also dropped as of Tuesday’s update.
The County of Minburn, including Vegreville region is now reporting one ‘active’ case and three ‘recoveries’, that’s down two from Monday.
The County of Two Hills is reporting two ‘active’ cases and seven ‘recoveries’, Lamont County is reporting zero ‘active’ cases and seven ‘recoveries’ while the County of Vermilion River is also reporting zero ‘active’ cases and seven ‘recoveries’.
Beaver County continues to report nine ‘active’ cases while the County of St. Paul is reporting zero ‘active’ cases.
Strathcona County, excluding Sherwood Park now has four ‘active’ cases while Sherwood Park has three.
Alberta recorded one additional virus-related death on Tuesday, bringing the province’s death toll to 187.
There are presently 88 COVID-19 related hospitalizations in Alberta with 16 in intensive care units.
To date, of the 10,470 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Alberta, 8,886 have been deemed recovered.
