Wheaties Best Rangers

A rough second period sent the Vegreville Rangers to their 4th straight loss in the North Eastern Alberta Junior Hockey on Wednesday ...

The Rangers kept things close with the Killam Wheat Kings in the early going, skating to a 1-all draw through 20-minutes but 3-unanswered goals in the 2nd frame proved to be their undoing in the eventual 5-3 loss.

With the win, Killam creates a little breathing room between themselves and the 5th place Cold Lake Ice, widening the gap to 4-points.

Vegreville will wrap their Regular Season this weekend with a home-and-home series versus the Lloydminster Bandits.

On Friday, the Rangers will welcome the Bandits to town for their ‘Fan Appreciation’ Game before travelling to Lloyd. on Sunday.
