Viking Gas Kings Set to Sask-Alta Hockey League

The Viking Gas Kings are getting set to drop the puck on their inaugural Sask-Alta Hockey League Season.

Another new addition to the Sask-Alta Hockey League is getting ready to drop the puck on their inaugural season.

It was announced this summer that the Viking Gas Kings would join the Senior Men’s League and Lane Skori, a defenseman with the team and one of the organizing members, says the timing was right.

Skori says the community support so far has been strong, including from members of the one of hockey’s most famous families.

He says that despite the fact that Viking will be an ‘expansion’ franchise, he likes the makeup of their roster.

The Viking Gas Kings start their first ever Sask-Alta Hockey League Season on Saturday October 15th when they welcome a regional rival to town, the Two Hills Longhorns.
