Vegreville's Val Ready for Latest Slam Stop

Vegreville’s Val is back on the sheets this week ...

Val Sweeting along with Third Lori Olson-Johns, Second Dana Ferguson and Lead Rachel Brown are in Sault Saint Marie, Ontario for the Grand Slam of Curling’s National.

This is the third ‘Slam’ event of the year and Sweeting says focusing on one event at a time – and - not thinking too far ahead to December’s Olympic Trials are keys to success this season.

It’s been an up and down year so far for Team Sweeting who won the Tour Challenge, the Slam’s first event of the year in September, before failing to make the playoffs at the Masters in October.

Sweeting and Company kick off the round robin portion of the event at 4:30pm on Tuesday against Switzerland’s Binia Feltscher.
