The Road to Representing Alberta goes through Vegreville this weekend for a group of young hockey players.

The Northeast Zone Camp for the 2016 Alberta Cup gets underway Friday at the Vegreville Rec Centre Arena.

Northeast Zone Director of Operations Phil Rowe says in total 97 14-yead old Bantam Players will be hoping to impress the Camp Evaluators for a chance to be one of the 20 named to Team Northeast.

Rowe explains what happens from that point forward

Rowe says the work for those hoping to represent this region, including 9 local area players, begins tomorrow with practices. Evaluation Games, which are open to the public, begin Saturday at 8am and run through 10pm along with Sunday from 9am to 3pm.
