Vegreville Rangers Part Ways with Head Coach Randy Rook; Down Saddle Lake 9-6 on Saturday.

It was a whirlwind of a weekend for the Vegreville Rangers who parted ways with Head Coach Randy Rook before scoring 6 goals in the 3rd period en route to a 9-6 Win over Saddle Lake on Saturday.

In what was a whirlwind weekend, the Vegreville Rangers scored 6 goals in the 3rd period on Saturday night to down the Saddle Lake Warriors 9-6 for their first win of 2016 ... all of that coming after the team and Head Coach Randy Rook parted ways.

The win snapped a 4 game winless streak for the Rangers.

Jesse Budinski lead the way for the Vegreville with 4 assists while Zac Lang scored his team leading 21st of the year.

The Rangers improve to 13-14-0 on the year – good for 7th in the North Eastern Alberta Junior Hockey League.

Vegreville's back in action Wednesday when they welcome Saint Paul. Game time is 8p-m at the Vegreville Rec Center Arena.
