Plenty of local minor hockey action on tap this weekend ...

The Vegreville Atom 1 team welcomes Fort Sask to town Saturday. Game time is 10:45 a-m at the Vegreville Rec Center Arena. The Atom 1's are 5-4-2 on the year. Carson Pewarchuck leads the team with 28 goals and 37 points.

Meantime, the Atom 2 team travels to Lamont on Sunday with a 3-3-2 Record. Corbin Lochhead leads the way for the Atom 2, with 11 goals and 13 points.

The Vegreville Pee Wee 1 team is action both Saturday and Sunday on home ice, welcoming Tofield Saturday at 12:30 and C-N-N on Sunday at 2:45 and you can bet Emerson Jarvis hopes to add to her team leading 10 goals.

The Vegreville Pee Wee 2 team can improve to .500 with a win on Sunday when they welcome Leduc to town on at 12:30pm.

And finally, in Midget Action, the Wranglers welcome Strathcona to the Veg Rec Center Arena on Sunday and are looking to rebound from a 5-1 loss to Wetaskawin back on January 2nd. Nolan Dewart leads the way for Vegreville with 8 goals and 14 points. Game time on Sunday is 4:00p-m.
