The Grey Cup Cometh ... to Vegreville

KidSport Vegreville is celebrating their 20th Anniversary by giving you a chance to hang out with a Grey Cup Champion and, of course, the Grey Cup.

KidSport Vegreville is set to welcome some coveted hardware along with a special guest to town.

Board Member Leanne Christensen says the organization is thrilled to have Edmonton Eskimos O-Lineman Tony Washington along with the Grey Cup in Vegreville to help celebrate KidSport’s 20th Anniversary in the Community.

Christensen says KidSport has been a fixture in Vegreville for much of the last two decades.

She says while 2015 numbers are still being tabulated, in 2014 KidSport Vegreville helped 49 local area kids play everything from archery to hockey and dance to soccer … a tab that ran just over $6,000.00

KidSport Vegreville’s “Tony Washington and Grey Cup Meet and Greet” goes from 6 PM to 7:30 at the Vegreville Aquatic and Fitness Center next Wednesday. It is free of charge and all are welcome but you’re asked to bring along a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank.
