Sweeting Just Shy of Spot at Olympics

Sweeting and her partner Brad Gushue fell 8-6 to Kaitlyn Lawes and John Morris in yesterday's final of the 2018 Canad Inns Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.

 

Sweeting says she's proud of the effort she and Gushue left out on the ice. (video)

 

Sweeting and Gushue got off to a rocky start at the event, dropping both of their opening day contests but cruised to the finals from there, winning eight of their next nine.

With their win, Lawes and Morris punch their tickets to Pyeongchang, South Korea where Mixed Doubles Curling will make its Olympic debut in February.
