The Alberta Professional Chuckwagon & Chariot Association has rolled out of Rocky for another year ...

Neil Salmond of Weekes, Saskatchewan is Rocky’s Wagons Champ after 5-days of A.P.C.C.A. action in Central Alberta.

The Alberta Professional Chuckwagon and Chariot Association wrapped up their second show of the season in Rocky Mountain House on Sunday and Salmond credits the win to a little luck and some clean driving.

He talks about the challenge of putting together 5 consistent days of races in order to come away with some hardware.

Innisfail’s John Stott, Olds’ Dale Young and Neil’s son Wade Salmond rounded out the Top Four Wagons in Rocky.

Meantime, Mayerthorpe’s Louis Johner earned the Chariots Championship while Kelsey’s Chester Blatz finishing second.

Meanwhile after a stellar first three days in Rocky Mountain House, Marty Maxwell of Camrose slipped to third in the overall after barrel trouble on Day 4.

Up next for the Alberta Professional Chuckwagon and Chariot Association is a stop in Paradise Valley on June 23rd and 24th.
