The Sturmay siblings continue to impress on the collegiate curling stage ...

This past weekend, Karsten Sturmay skipped the University of Alberta Golden Bears to a second consecutive Canada West Curling Championship at the Saville Community Sport Centre in Edmonton.

Sturmay and the Golden Bears registered a 4-and-0 record en route to their successful Canada West conference title defense.

Not to be outdone, Karsten’s younger sister Selena Sturmay also skipped the U of A Pandas to a second straight Canada West title – also running the table at 4-and-0.

Karsten and Selena were both named tournament All-Stars.

Though from Leduc and now living in Edmonton, the Sturmay’s have strong family roots in Lavoy.

Both Karsten’s Golden Bears and Selena’s Panda will next represent Canada West at the 2020 U SPORTS Curling Championship, which will be held in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba from March 13th to 22nd.
