Shattered Glass Shatters Rangers' Momentum in Regular Season's Home Finale

An unexpected delay at the Wally Fedun Arena seemed to be the undoing for the Vegreville Rangers in the North Eastern Alberta Junior Hockey League on Friday ...

A gigantic body-check that resulted in a shattered pane glass caused a lengthy delay in what was, at the time, a 1-1 tie in 3rd period between the Rangers and the Lloydminster Bandits.

The nearly 30-minute break seemed to benefit the Bandits as they responded only a few minutes into the resumption of play with the go-ahead goal, en route to their eventual 3-1 victory.

Ben Roth scored the lone goal of the game for Vegreville in their final contest on home ice of the 2019-2020 Regular Season.

The Rangers and Bandits will renew the rivalry on Sunday in Lloydminster in what will be the final game ahead of the playoffs for both teams.
