The Salmonds were the story on Night One at the A.P.C.C.A.’s stop at the Vegreville Country Fair.

Wayne Salmond of Weekes, Saskatchewan took the day money with the fastest time of the night in the Chuckwagons, a 68.16.

He says everything clicked.

Wayne’s top time was followed closely by some kin folk as Neil Salmond’s 68.25 was good for second and Wade Salmond’s 68.63 took third.

Marty Maxwell of Camrose took top spot in the Chariots on Night One with a 65.15.

He says he loves coming to Vegreville.

Heidi Leach of Weekes, Saskatchewan wasn’t far off iin 2nd Spot with 65.88 while Denver Leach nabbed third with 66.03.

Night Two of the Alberta Professional Chuckwagon and Chariot Association’s stay at the Vegreville Country Fair continues later today with the Chariots at 5pm and the Chucks at 7.
