Sweeting, who’s once again flanked by Third Lori Olson-Johns, Second Dana Ferguson and Lead Rachel Brown, will try to bounce back on Wednesday night (8pm) when she’ll meet up with Switzerland’s Team Tirinzoni.

On the Men’s Side, Brad Gushue, Sweeting’s mixed doubles partner from a few weeks ago, opened their Canadian Open title defence with a 9-4 victory over Team Chang-Min Kim of South Korea.

The Canadian Open features a triple knockout preliminary format where teams must win three games before they lose three in order to qualify for the weekend playoffs.
