Regional Talent Gets Crack at Canada's World Jr. Roster

A pair of Sherwood Park products are among the 32 players invited by Hockey Canada to participate in Canada's National World Junior Hockey Team's Selection Camp ...

Forward Sam Steel from the WHL's Regina Pats along with goaltender Carter Hart from the Everett Silvertips will head to St. Catherines, Ontario from December 12-15th.

Hart was part of Canada's silver medal team last year.

There were 6 other Albertans who received an invite to the selection camp including forwards Dillion Dube from Cochrane and Tyler Steenbergen from Sylvan Lake along with blueliners Jake Bean from Calgary, Kale Clague from Lloydminster, Josh Mahura from St. Albert and Cale Makar from Calgary.

The roster will be cut down to 22 players ahead of this year's W.J.C. from December 26th-January 5th in Buffalo, New York.
