Change to N.E.A.J.H.L. Season Standings Should Make for Regular Season Photo Finish

The N.E.A.J.H.L. has released updated standings after the Saddle Lake Warriors’ season-long suspension, and with it comes an even tighter race for the playoffs ...

With the league electing to scrub the record of any games involving the Warriors this year, the Vegreville Rangers jumped up from 10th to 9th in the standings – now one spot out of the playoffs.

With the updated standings, only 8 points separates 10th place and 5th place and League President Mark Hines says that should make for an interesting final few weeks of the regular season.

The Rangers have a chance to greatly improve their odds at making the post-season over the next few games as they get set for a home-and-home with the Lloydminster Bandits this weekend.

Vegreville heads to Lloyd. Friday to battle the Bandits before hosting them on Sunday afternoon.

The Rangers are 3-points back of the Bandits, who, with the updated standings, dropped 8 points and tumbled from 6th into 8th, which is the league's last playoff spot.
