Rangers Rally for Preseason Win over Bandits

The Vegreville Rangers bounced back in Northeastern Alberta Junior Hockey League Preseason play last night ...

On the heels of a rough loss to the Killam Wheat Kings on Wednesday, the Rangers overcame a third period deficit and beat the Lloydminster Bandits 5-4 at the Vegreville Rec. Center Arena.

Rangers Forward Jesse Budinski scored to tie the contest at 4’s with 13:26 left in the game while Josh Micklich potted the winner for Vegreville about 10 minutes later.

Micklich says unlike on Wednesday, last night’s Rangers’ Roster included a solid crop of veterans and returning players.

Budinkski talks about what his role with the Rangers will be this season.

The Rangers wrap their preseason schedule tonight in Game 2 of the Home and Home Series with the Bandits in Lloydminster.

The N-E-A-J-H-L’s Regular Season gets underway next Friday when the Vermilion Tigers come to town.
