Rangers Hire Scott Langkow

The Vegreville Rangers have hired a very familiar name in the community to be their new bench boss.

It didn’t take long for the Vegreville Rangers to find their new Head Coach.

After parting ways with Randy Rook over the weekend the Rangers announced yesterday that had hired Scott Langkow to take over behind the bench.

Langkow’s resume is rife with professional hockey experience who as goaltender played in NHL, AHL and in Europe but says despite his pro-playing career, this new role will be a learning experience:

Langkow didn’t have much time to get acclimatized, taking the over the bench boss role just ahead of Wednesday's 9-5 loss to Saint Paul.

The Rangers are back to work Friday night when Lloyd Bandits come to town.
