Rangers Bounced By Bandits

The chase for the playoffs went from bad to worse for the Vegreville Rangers last night ...

The Rangers dropped a 7-1 decision to the Lloydminster Bandits in Tuesday’s lone Northeastern Alberta Junior Hockey League contest.

Vegreville continues to trail the Vermilion Tigers by five points for the N.E.A.J.H.L.’s final playoff spot but now Vermilion has a game in hand.

The Rangers have five games remaining in the Regular Season while the Tigers have six.

The good news for Rangers fans is that the Tigers will burn that game in hand on Wednesday when they face-off against the juggernaut that is the Wainwright Bisons, who, at .939%, have the best winning percentage of any Junior B Team in province.

The Rangers aren’t back in action until Friday when they’ll kick off a three-game in three day stretch, including their final two home games on the year on Friday and Sunday afternoon.
