The Irma Chargers have begun to build their team heading into a new Alberta Junior Female Hockey League Season ...

The Alberta Junior Female Hockey League’s Irma Chargers are looking ahead to a new season.

Chargers President and Manager Joe Holt says the team will be holding an open try out on Sunday in Killam at 2pm.

He explains what ages are eligible to play Chargers Hockey.

Holt talks about the level of competition in the A.J.F.H.L.

Irma’s 2015-16 roster included Vegreville’s Hailey Kucher in net and Holt says the Chargers are hoping to continue drawing talent from around the region heading into a new year.

Irma, which is one of ten teams in the A.J.F.H.L., will play a pre-season tournament in Calgary starting September 25th before dropping the puck on the 28 game regular season in early October.

Those interested in attending the try out are encouraged to call Holt at 780-806-9898 or by visiting the Irma Charger’s website.
