The Lloydminster Bandits doubled up the Frog Lake T-Birds 4-2 in the only Northeastern Alberta Junior Hockey League contest on Sunday.

The Bandits put together a solid 2-1 weekend, including a 9-3 win over the Vegreville Rangers on Friday, and now sit 6th in N.E.A.J.H.L., 9 points up on the Rangers who sit 9th.

After the weekend’s action, Vegreville’s best chance at making the playoffs remains to be catching the Vermilion Tigers – who sit in 8th, 3 points up on the Rangers.

Both teams have 8 games remaining.

The Rangers are back in action Saturday when they’ll travel to Cold Lake to battle the Ice before returning home Sunday afternoon for a match-up versus the St. Paul Canadiens.

Meantime, the Two Hills Longhorns went 1-1 this weekend to wrap up the SaskAlta Hockey League’s Regular Season.

The Longhorns finish 5th in the Senior Men’s Standings with a 10-4-1-1 record.

Two Hills will play the 4th place Elk Point Elks in the SaskAlta's Best-of-Five First Round Playoff Series starting in Elk Point on Friday, January 26th night. The series will shift back to Two Hills on Saturday, January 27th.
