Pomeroy Inn & Suites 4X4 Tournament a Massive Success

There weren’t any holes in one, but there was good times a plenty at this past weekend’s ‘Pomeroy Inn and Suites 4X4 Golf Tournament’ held at the Vegreville Kinsmen Golf Course ...

No ‘Holes In One’ to Mention but that didn’t stop 96 Golfers from having a great day on the links at the Vegreville Kinsmen Golf Club on Saturday.

Clubhouse Manager Murray Cummings says the sold-out event was a complete success - so much so that next season could see a 4X4 X Two.

He credits not only the business community for coming together to supply the nearly $200,000 in prizes but also the volunteers who made the day possible.

The Curtis Hirsch Team of Vegreville was Saturday’s Overall Winner while Sherwood Park’s Tyson Lastiwka crushed the ball 380 yards for the day’s long drive award.

Other winners included Brent Kawaliuk of Bruce, Alberta and Vegreville’s Tyler Butz who were ‘Closest to the Pin’ on Holes 4 and 2 respectively and David Strydom of Vegreville who drained the day’s longest putt.
