The Alberta Professional Chuckwagon and Chariot Association heads into the weekend with a bit of down time after a mid-week stop in High Prairie this past Tuesday and Wednesday ...
Vegreville’s Dwayne Dubuc says in actuality, the races in High Prairie came down to a single ‘winner take all’ 1-day event after a rainout on the Tuesday.
Dubuc crossed the line at 58.65 for top spot in the Chariots – immediately followed by Kelsey, Alberta’s Chester Blatz who crossed at 58.68.
Meantime, Dubuc says it was family affair in the Wagons with the Stott’s of Lacombe earning first and second place finishes.
Jack Stott took the Wagons with 60.74, followed closely by daughter Tracy Stott who finished with a 60.94.
Next up for the A.P.C.C.A. is the Vegreville Country Fair next Thursday through Saturday.
