Wade Salmond registered last night’s top time – a 67.52 – in the final heat of the evening. Salmond, who's from Weekes, Saskatchewan, now sits 1st in the Chuckwagon’s Aggregate through 2-Days of Action with a 136.15.

Wade's Dad's Wagon, Neil Salmond, is close behind with a 136.86 in second while Allan Bengston of Falun, Alberta sits third with a 137.30.

Bengston registered last night’s second fastest time and says he needed to take advantage of starting from the 4th Barrel.

Rosalind’s Wanda Sannachan had the top in the Chariots yesterday with 65.21. Sannachan sits second in the 2-Day Aggregate with a 131.47, trailing Marty Maxwell of Camrose and his 131.01.

Later today it’s Championship Saturday for the A.P.C.C.A. at the Vegreville Country Fair – the Chariots will roll at 3pm and the Wagons at 5pm. As always, we’ll bring you the live call of the wagons starting with a prerace show at 4:55pm.
