A mix of returning and new faces were on the ice at the Vegreville Rangers team try-out last night.
The Vegreville Rangers continue to be put through their pre-season paces.
The Rangers held a team try-out at the Vegreville Rec Center Arena last night as part of their fall camp – which saw a mixture of both returning and rookie players hoping to make the team.
One of the returning players on the ice was Center Jesse Budinski.
He says with the likes of Derek Miller, Zach Lang and Grayson Soprovich among last year’s graduating players he hopes to take more of a leadership role with the team this season.
Budinski admits there’s some rust to be shaken off this time of year.
Budinski finished 4th in Team Scoring last year with 10 goals and 30 assists and is expected to suit up in tomorrow’s pre-season contest against the H.J.H.L’s Ponoka Stampeders.
