New Additions Shine for Rangers in Win over St. Paul

A pair of twin brothers made a positive impact for the Vegreville Rangers in Friday's N.E.A.J.H.L action...

Connor Mckay turned aside 35 of 38 shots sent his way while Defenseman Logan McKay scored a big goal in the second period, helping the Rangers to a 6-3 win over the St. Paul Canadiens in the Northeastern Alberta Junior Hockey League last night.

The brothers from St. Albert were playing in only their second game as members of the Rangers and Logan says it was nice to be able to contribute in their first appearance at the Veg. Rec. Center Arena.

Meantime, Connor says his game is starting to round into form after missing the bulk of the season’s early goings.

With the win the Rangers improve to 4-5-and-1 and are right back to work Sunday when Onion Lake comes to town for a 2:00pm matinee.
