Longhorns Return to SaskAlta

The lists of Regional Rivals in the SaskAlta Hockey League continues to grow.

The Two Hills Longhorns will be back in the SaskAlta Hockey League for the 2016-17 Season.

Longhorns Player and Co-Manager Evan Warawa says after taking a step back from the league last season, the timing was right to re-join the fold.

He says a big part of that decision was last year’s crop of graduating Vegreville Rangers.

He says despite taking a year off, he believes the Longhorns will be competitive in the now 15 team SaskAlta league.

The SaskAlta League has teams in Wainwright, Vermilion as well as another new addition to the league this season, Viking.

He expects a high caliber of competition throughout the league this year.

The Longhorns will hold their first pre-season skates later this month and hope to play a few exhibition contests in mid-October.
