Johner crossed the line in 2nd in the final heat on Saturday but his 60.55 was quick enough to put him in 1st Place in the Overall, for the second consecutive year in Vermilion, with a 183.77.

Johner, who’s 80 years young, was humble about the win.

Wade Salmond of Weekes, Saskatchewan finished 2nd in the Overall with a 184.31 while Ardrossan’s Rob Nordick rounded out the Top 3 in the Wagons with a 184.78.

Neil Salmond’s outfit, driven by son Wade, was tops in the Chariots through 3-Days with a 180.11, Marty Maxwell of Camrose finished 2nd with a 181.06 and Vegreville’s Dwayne Dubuc in 3rd with a 181.12.

The A.P.C.C.A is right back to work this week with a 2-Day Stop at the 57th Annual High Prairie Pro Rodeo starting Tuesday.
