It's a Wednesday Night Rivalry in Vegreville

It’s a rivalry renewed at the Vegreville Rec. Centre Arena on Wednesday night in the N.E.A.J.H.L ...

The Vegreville Rangers welcome the Wheat Kings to town, not a week after the two teams squared off in a penalty filled affair on Friday night in Killam where they combined for 152 penalty minutes, 130 of those coming in the third period alone.

Rangers Head Coach Bryan Brown anticipates tonight’s contest will be a rough one, but knows his team will try to play smart hockey.

Brown says tonight’s Rangers line-up will be given an injection of youth.

Eric Powley, Nathan Gottselig, Devon Rewega and Kolton Melnyk of the Vegreville Midget ‘A’ Wranglers will all suit up for the Rangers on Wednesday.

The Rangers are coming off an oh-and-three weekend and sit 10th in the Northeastern Alberta Junior Hockey League while Killam, sitting 4th, has won 6 in a row.
