Team Canada improved to 2-and-0 at the FIBA U-18 Americas Women’s Championships on Thursday, beating-up El Salvador 81-52 at the international basketball competition underway in Mexico City.

While Canada’s roster boasts only one Albertan, Calgary’s Carly Ahlstrom, Vegreville is represented on the court thanks to Kisilevich who is one of the tournament’s officials.

This is the first international tournament for Kisilevich who says even though she proved herself enough to get the invite, her performance is still being evaluated in Mexico.

So far, Kisilevich, who's one of only 14 FIBA Carded Officials in Canada, has been a part the officiating crew for a pair of contests, both featuring lop-sided Team U.S.A. victories in Pool A.

Meantime, Team Canada will look to improve to 3-and-0 in Pool B action on Friday when they take on tournament hosts Mexico.
