'Horns Stun Hitmen in Game One

The Hillmond Hitmen are undefeated no longer in the SaskAlta Hockey League ...

After finishing the Regular Season with a 19-and-0 record, the Two Hills Long Horns stunned the Hitmen 4-3 in Game One of the Senior Men’s League’s Best-of-Five First Round Playoff Series in Hillmond, Saskatchewan on Friday.

Game Two Shifts to Two Hills on Saturday.

Puck drop is set for 8:30pm.

Meantime, in the North Eastern Alberta Junior Hockey League, the Vegreville Rangers couldn’t keep pace with one of the league's best, falling 10-4 to the Lac La Biche Clippers on Friday.

The Clippers improve to 23-4-and-0 with the win, good for second in the standings but still six points back of first place Wainwright Bisons who beat up on the Killam Wheat Kings 6-1.

The Rangers, who have four games remaining in the Regular Season, are back in action tonight when they visit the Frog Lake T-Birds.

Vegreville returns to home-ice on Wednesday when they welcome St. Paul.
