The Broncos captured their first Western Hockey League Championship since 1993 on Sunday with a 3-0, Game Six win over the WHL's Player of the Year, Sherwood Park's Carter Hart, and his Everett Silvertips.

Hart, who made 22 saves on 24 shots, was bested by his counterpart Stuart Skinner of Edmonton who turned aside 31 shots in the Broncos net for the shutout.

Skinner was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 3rd Round of last season's NHL Entry Draft.

The Broncos will now join the Hamilton Bulldogs of the OHL, the Acadie-Bathurst Titans of the QMJHL and the Host Regina Pats at the Memorial Cup starting Friday for Canada's major junior hockey championship.
