Hardcourt Havoc Hits Vegreville this Weekend

Teams from all over the region will take to the Vegreville court this weekend in for some Senior Girls High School Hoops Action ...

The Saint Mary's High School, along with V.C.H.S., will play hosts to a twelve team tournament starting tomorrow and Saints Coach Mark Kobelsky says the ‘2017 Saint Mary’s Subway Senior Girls Basketball Tournament’ is a great showcase for regional talent.

He says his team has improved from last year, partly thanks to a solid crop of returning athletes.

Kobelsky says the goal for his team heading into the tournament as well the rest of the season is a complete four-quarter effort.

The Saints have already found some tournament success this season, winning gold in Fort Saskatchewan a few weeks ago.

The Saint Mary’s Subway Senior Girls Basketball Tournament tips off with both Vegreville teams, the Saints and the Veg. Comp. Cougars, playing the roles of hosts in their respective gyms at 12:30 tomorrow afternoon.
