Despite Loss Rangers Playoff Hopes Remain Very Much Alive

The Saint Paul Canadiens proved to the Vegreville Rangers why they're one of the best teams in the North Eastern Alberta Junior Hockey League ...

The N.E.A.J.H.L.'s 2nd Place Canadiens hammered the Rangers 11-1 at the Veg. Rec Center Arena last night.

While the game didn't go according to plan for Vegreville, the Rangers did get some help on the out-of-town scoreboard in their chase for a playoff spot.

The Vermilion Tigers, now winless in their last 10 games, fell 3-1 to the Lloydminster Bandits while Onion Lake dropped a 5-4 Overtime decision to Saddle Lake.

The Rangers now trail the Tigers by 3 points and Onion Lake by 4 points for the last of the playoff spots with only 8 games remaining in the Regular Season.

Vegreville is back to work tomorrow when the Cold Lake Ice come to town.
