C.F.R. Red Deer Bound?

After teasing an upcoming ‘major announcement’ via social media on Friday, the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce and Westener Park will finally reveal what the excitement is all about this afternoon ...

The announcement is scheduled for 5:00pm (Tuesday, January 16th) and while there has been no other details released, there has certainly been plenty of speculation that it may have something to do with the future home of the C.F.R.

A partnership between Westerner Park and the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce had originally been announced back on October 19th in the hopes of bringing the Canadian Finals Rodeo to Red Deer.

On November 30th, they presented their vision for a multi-year proposal to host the CFR at the ENMAX Centrium to the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association.

The 44th C.F.R. in 2017 was the final one at Northland Coliseum and it drew over 90,000 rodeo fans to that facility in Edmonton.
