Vegreville’s Kyle Brodziak and his St. Louis Blues are set to drop the puck on the 2017-18 NHL Regular Season ...
While the #1 NHL team in Vegreville in terms of fan base support is most likely the Edmonton Oilers, it’s probably fair to assume that most of the town's 2nd favorite team is the St. Louis Blues.
Vegreville’s Kyle Brodziak will once again lace ‘em up for the ‘Blue Notes’ this season in his 13th National Hockey League season since making his debut with the Oilers in 2005-06.
The 33 year-old says with the preseason behind him, he’s looking forward to another year.
This will be Brodziak’s third season in St. Louis and he says that after playing in a pair of ‘hockey crazy’ markets, he was surprised initially by the Blues’ devoted fan base.
Barring a mid-season contract extension, Brodziak will be a free agent this summer but he notes he's not dwelling on that.
Brodziak finished last season with 8 goals and 15 points in 69 games.
He and the Blues start the year on the road versus the defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday.
