On the heels of a rare week off, the Alberta Professional Chuckwagon and Chariot Association is back to work starting Friday ...
The A.P.C.C.A. rolls into Bashaw for a 3-day event on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Association President Dwayne Dubuc says Bashaw is another popular stop for drivers thanks its pristine track conditions.
He says as a result, another stellar roster of drivers and outfits will be vying for the championship buckle.
Heading into Bashaw, Mayerthorpe’s Louis Johner leads the Chuckwagons’ Overall Season Standings by a wide margin with 1101 points, up 157 points on the 2nd place Brett Dubuc but with three shows left on the season and just over 120 points separating 2nd and 7th place Dubuc says there’s still plenty left to be determined.
Meantime, in the Chariots, Kelsey, Alberta’s Chester Blatz has three outfits in the Top-5 of the Season Standings.
In total, 40 Wagons and 46 Chariots will take part to the track in Bashaw.
