The Alberta Professional Chuckwagon and Chariot Association is ready for the 111th Annual Vermilion Fair ...
The A.P.C.C.A. action starts Thursday and one of the hottest chariot outfits heading into the three day event belongs to Rosalind’s Wanda Sannachan.
Sannachan had the best overall time at the A.P.C.C.A.’s last stop in Hardisty two weeks ago with a 176.90 over the three days while she also finished 5th overall in Edgerton at the stop prior to that.
Edgerton was Sannachan’s first event of the season and she explains why she joined mid-stream this year.
Not only is Sannachan competing in her own outfit, she’s also racing her husband, Morris Burkard’s chariot as he continues to recover.
Sannachan talks about the Vermilion stop and explains the hype around it.
Marty Maxwell of Camrose leads the Overall Chariot Season Standings with a 738 heading into Vermilion while Fort Saskatchewan’s Mike Motowylo sits comfortably in Top Spot in the Overall Wagon Standings with a 693.
Chariots go at 1:00pm daily starting tomorrow through to Saturday at the Vermilion Fair while the Wagons go at 7:30pm all three days and you’ll be able to hear the live call of the wagons right here on Country 106.
