Vegreville Mounties Make Arrest in Break and Enter

On February 6th, 2018 at 4:30 p.m., the Vegreville RCMP received a complaint of a residential Break and Enter to a residence located on the south side of Vegreville

Vegreville Mounties have made an arrest in a break and enter case. On the afternoon of February 6th, Vegreville RCMP received a complaint of a residential break and enter to a residence located on the south side of Vegreville. The suspect forcibly entered the house sometime during the daytime and stole electronics, jewellery and U.S. currency. 

On February 7th, with the assistance of local residents, the Vegreville RCMP were able to identify, locate and subsequently charge 49-year-old Robert David McCulloch of Vegreville. Mcculloch has been charged with Break and Enter to commit theft, Mischief Under $5,000 and four counts of Breach of Recognizance.

A bail hearing was conducted and McCulloch was released from custody by a Justice of the Peace on a $1200 no cash Recognizance. His first appearance in Provincial Court is scheduled for March 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m

The Vegreville RCMP detachment would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter as it was less than 24 hours from the time the crime was reported, that a suspect was identified, arrested and charged.
