The Town of Vegreville has approved it's 2017 Operating and Capital budgets
Vegreville's 2017 budget has been approved. At it's last council meeting, the town passed a Capital budget of $10,488,500.
Mayor Myron Hayduk says that the Capital budget number is so high this year, because it includes eight million dollars for the new R.C.M.P. building.
Hayduk outlines a few projects included in the Capital budget.
Hayduk adds there's a zero percent increase in taxes this year, but it doesn't mean taxes won't go up.
The budget also includes an Operating Budget of $19.4 million.
