The Alberta Government is hoping new seminars to be offered around the province will offer a shot-in-the-arm to an already growing tourism industry.
The Tourism Entrepreneurship Startup Seminar aims to help more tourism industry entrepreneurs start businesses, diversify the economy and draw tourists to Alberta by providing them with free expert advice and information about the opportunities and challenges facing the tourism industry.
Kevin Kisilevich with the Go East of Edmonton Regional Tourism Organization says after months of economic uncertainty, the timing to launch a new "tourism" related business seems right.
The Tourism Entrepreneurship Startup Seminar series launches today in Cold Lake and will address key tourism industry topics like seasonality, financing and marketing in a one-day seminar format.
The next stop in the series is High Prairie on February 12th before stops in Drumheller and Airdrie with, according to a Government release, the potential to add more dates in different communities.
