Beaver County is set to host a Farm and Ranch Safety Seminar conducted by Ag Safe Alberta later this month ...
Extension Coordinator Donna Trottier explains what Ag Safe Alberta is all about.
Trottier says the seminar, which will be free to attend, will be an introduction to farm management planning.
Trottier notes that there are several examples of why producers should have an emergency response plan on their farm – including last summer’s wildfires in southern Alberta.
Ag Safe Alberta’s ‘Intro to Farm & Ranch Safety Planning’ Seminar will be held in both Viking and Tofield on January 23rd. First at the Carena from 10am to 2pm and then at the Tofield Arena from 6 to 9pm.
Light meals will be served at both venues and those interested in attending are asked to pre-register by contacting Aimee at the Beaver County Offices at 780-663-3730 by end of day Friday, January 19th.
