Mayor Speaks Out on C.P.C. Costs

The Town of Vegreville has released the numbers when it comes to the cost of fighting the Case Processing Centre closure

The Town of Vegreville has released the cost of fighting the closure of the Case Processing Centre. The Respect Vegreville campaign, which included hiring Torque Communications to develop an advocacy plan, and sending representatives to Ottawa incurred a cost of over $334,000.

Mayor Tim MacPhee says there there is some good news to the costs.

MacPhee adds that they've released the costs as a way to keep the council open and transparent to the taxpayers, something he says hasn't always been the case.
