Daylight Savings Time begins this Sunday, and not everyone is happy about it
This weekend will be time once again to spring forward, as Daylight Savings Time begins.
Ruby Kassian of Vegreville has been against the time change for years, and in 2014 had a petition to abolish the change tabled in the Legislature.
She says that it had over 3 thousand signatures.
Kassian says with the election of the new N.D.P. government, the work she has done has been dropped from the Legislature. She's urging people to take up the cause once again, by writing and calling M.L.A.'s to bring up the topic in session again.
Meanwhile, Kassian is also working with Verner Thompson of Mannville, who has started another petition to abolish the time change in Alberta.
He says most people he's encountered are in favour of getting rid of the time change.
You can find more information on Thompson's petition by visiting the Facebook group Daylight Savings Time Alberta 2016.
