Lakeland R.E.A. Holds A.G.M. Tonight

Lakeland Rural Electrification Association members are being encouraged to attend tonight's Annual General Meeting

The Lakeland Rural Electrification Association will hold its Annual General Meeting tonight.

Association President Bernie Klammer says the purpose of their A.G.M. is to engage and update their membership.

Items on the agenda include the previous fiscal year's financial report as well as a budget outline for the new fiscal year, along with reports from the President and General Manager and a discussion on alternative methods of member voting, like a mail-in vote. 

Klammer says tonight's A.G.M. will also include a pair of votes for Zone Directors.

Dennis Holowaychuck and Peter Lazowski are running to be the new Director for Zone 1, while Bill Zeleny, Gordan Rosypal and John Homeniuk a seeking the Zone 3 Director's Chair.

Kendall Freed has been acclaimed in Zone 4.

All members are encouraged to attend.

Registration is at 5:30 followed by a beef-on-a-bun meal and the meeting at 7:00, which will take place at the Ukrainian National Hall in Smoky Lake.
