Only a handful of Seniors Lodges in the province still allow tobacco smoking in a designated area inside the facility, and Holden Lodge is now expanding on what can be smoked, adding cannabis to the list
Holden Lodge is allowing cannabis to be smoked indoors at it's facility, in addition to tobacco.
C.A.O. Of the Beaver Foundation that manages Holden Lodge, Owen Ligard, says it's one of a handful of facilities left that still permits smoking of any kind indoors, noting it's a leading edge approach to seniors wellness.
Ligard adds that seniors with a prescription can light up cannabis now, and will be able to without one once the product becomes legalized in October. Of the nine facilities Beaver Foundation manages, Holden is the only care centre that will allow cannabis smoking indoors in designated areas.
