The Go East of Edmonton Regional Tourism Organization is heading into a new year with some exciting news.

Marketing Projects Manager Kevin Kisilevich says they’ve received news that a recent Go East R.T.O. grant application has been approved through Alberta Economic Development and Trade for a Regional Tourism Development program.

Kisilevich says the grant will be used for “The Go East Roadtrips Tourism Development Project”, noting it’s a project that will help promote and in turn benefit the entire region.

The Community and Regional Economic Support program grant is valued at $25,000 while over 45 member communities in the Go East R.T.O. will also contribute to the project.

Kilsilevich says the ambitious “The Go East Roadtrips Tourism Development Project” is valued at over $50,000 and will be in development for 2018 and 2019.
